Penelope Card

Image
I like to send a card to new customers or customers who have not ordered anything from me in awhile. However, I like to leave them blank so the customer has a card to send to someone. This card I made from the Penelope paper pack and the Artfully Sent cartridge.

La Vie En Rose Thank You Card

Image
I finally got time to sit down tonight to craft. We tackled organizing and cleaning the garage and kitchen today so most of my day was eaten up doing that! However, I spent a little bit of time tonight create this La Vie En Rose  thank you card. It was a simple card using scraps but looks very elegant. I used the For a Friend  stamp set and cut the tag with the Art Philosophy Cartridge.

Zoe Birthday Card

Image
Zoe is such a versatile paper pack. I used the paper pack  and compliments to create this fun birthday card. The butterflies I had left over from a prior card. I also added some washi tape . I used the compliments from Zoe to create a "My Day" list.

Spring Card

Image
Spring is coming to Spokane. My bulbs have broken through the dirt and some of my ground cover has bloomed. I used a title from the Close to My Heart Artbooking cartridge , the Penelope paper pack  and limeade washi tape . I cut the frame that "Spring" is on from the Art Philosophy Cartridge.

#TBT Scholastic Card

Image
Welcome to Throwback Thursday. Today I have a card to put in my son's lunch. I used the retired Scholastic paper pack along with the current Childhood Picture My Life  card and retired black enamel stars.

Urban Thank You Card

Image
I am staying with my brother in law this week in Seattle for a conference and want to leave him a thank you note for allowing me to stay with him and drive me to and from the airport. The Urban paper pack is perfect along with the For a Friend  stamp and black shimmer trim . I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the tag.  If there is a stamp you liked and wished you had ordered from a prior Idea Book it may still be available. If it coordinates with a CTMH Cricut cartridge, the stamp set will always be available for sale.

Happy Card

Image
Easter will be here before we know it. I am having fun playing with the Penelope paper pack. I used the Cricut Cartridge Aristry for the rabbit and the HAPPY is a negative from another card. I am trying hard to use washi tape more often and used the green from the Limeade Washi Pack . This is a perfect Easter card to use next month.

Happy Card

The advantage of having my craft room and laundry room in the same room is that when I "fluff" the dryer I am forced to wait and so I have to craft! This morning while waiting I create this card using the Penelope paper packet and the Close to My Heart Artistry cartridge. I also used the Blue Dots and Washi Tape. This is a fun card that I can give to anyone and it will brighten their day. All supplies used in this card can be ordered here .

A is for Awesome Card

Image
This is a quick card I made today to leave for my son next week when I am gone at a conference. I used some scraps from the Paper Fundamentals -Enchantment pack and a Picture My Life card from the Childhood Scrapbooking Program.   Hopefully this makes my son's week go quicker!

Good Luck Card-February 20

Image
I am going to be gone at a conference next week so I wanted to leave some card's for my husband and son while I am gone. I create this simple card using my Artbooking cartridge and the La Vie En Rose  paper pack.

Thank You-Springtime Wishes

Image
I finally purchased the Thin Cuts  Close to My Heart began offering last year. I was not sure why I would need them since I own a Cricut, but I am SOLD! It was so easy to cut out the flowers and leaves and they fit perfectly with the stamps.  I used the retired Lollydoodle paper pack to create this cute thank you card.  Grab your Springtime Wishes stamp set and thin cuts today.

50th Birthday Card-February 18

Image
A co-worker turns 50 this weekend! I love how the Artfully Sent cartridge makes card making quick and easy and allows you to make 3-D cards. I used the Charlotte paper packet for paper. The flowers on the front of the card were created using the Art Philosophy cartridge.  The best part of the card is the inside! When she opens the card Over the Hill will pop out for her.

Happy Birthday-February 17

Image
Next week I am going to a conference for work and will be gone for my husband's birthday. I wanted to leave him with a card and then will give him the "real" card when I give him his gift. This card was made using the retired Lagoon cardstock and negatives from layouts I did. I used Colonial White ink from the Cricut Art Fully Sent cartridge stamp set.

Happy Easter, February 16

Image
I typed up the blog post for this card earlier today, but somehow it disappeared!  Even though Easter is more than a month away, it is never to early to start making cards. I had a piece of watercolor paper I had painted last week sitting there that I cut into a tag using the Art Philosophy cartridge. After that I decided the Penlope paper pack needed a bunny to declare an eggs-tra special day! The stamp set is from the Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge. I had fun creating this Easter card using the Penelope paper packet, water color paints, ShinHan markers, Spring Critters stamp set and my Art Philosophy cartridge. All supplies for this card can be ordered here .

Dream Big-February 15

Image
I have tried to make my nieces 14th birthday card at least half a dozen times. Every time I start the card has taken a different direction. However, her birthday is only a week away and I need to get the card in the mail this week. I think I finally made a card that a 14 year old will not crinkle her nose at! I used black cardstock, the December 2016 Stamp of the Month and some old paper from a Christmas kit a few years ago.

Valentine's Day Card-February 14

Image
My last Valentine's Day card! I gave my husband a few cards in his lunch last week so I needed a card for today. I used old Close To My Heart paper from a Christmas pack a couple of years ago. I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the Smoothie cardstock heart at 3 1/4". I hope you have an amazing Valentine's Day surrounded by friends and family.

Charlotte Friendship Card-February 13

Image
In January I had lot's of birthday cards to make. February requires far less birthday cards so more friendship cards are being made. I made this card using the Charlotte paper pack, the Treasured Friendship stamp set, Flaxen Ink and the CTMH watercolors .

A Little Note Card-February 12

Image
Painting with CTMH watercolor has become a favorite activity of mine. I used a retired stamp set "A Little Note" to stamp on top of water color. The card base is from the Paper Fundamentals Enchantment collection.  Sometimes a random card is perfect to make someone's day!

#TBT Chalk It Up Friendship Card

Image
Today's card is made of a little old and a little new! The old is the retired Chalk it Up paper pack, Lagoon cardstock and sequins. The new is the February Constant Campaign stamp set!

Mini Card Wednesday-February 10th

Image
Today I made three mini-cards. I love mini-cards not only because they are quick to make and easy to tuck in a gift bag or a lunch! The middle card I will send in my husband's lunch and the other 2 cards are going in my stash for future use.  I used the following Close to My Heart supplies: Paper Fundamentals -Enchantment Stamp Set from Cricut Artfully Sent Collection Black Ink Paper Fundamentals Complements  Enamel & Glitter Duos Blue Dots

Owl Valentine's Day Card

Image
Today I need one more Valentine's Day card for a friend who loves owl. I found the perfect owl stamp set and paired it with La Vie En Rose  paper pack and Poppy and Pixie ink. How many Valentine's Day cards did you send out this year?

Friendship Card-February 8

Image
Initially this card started out for my soon to be 14 year old niece. However, it is less of a birthday card and more of a friendship card. I love how it turned out though. I used the February Constant Campaign Stamp " Share the Love " and retired Close to My Heart paper.

February 7-Penelope Card

Image
I am having so much fun creating cards every day. I am attempting to use more of the tools, products and techniques that I love. For this card I used the new Penelope paper pack, Artbooking Cricut Cartridge and stamps and Glitter Duos Blue Dots .

Easter Card-Saturday February 6

Image
So much fun in one little card! I know it is early for Easter but I was playing with my new Close to My Heart water color paints and wanted to see how they worked with stamping. They work PERFECTLY!  I used the following supplies from Close to My Heart: Penelope Paper Pack (X7207B) Limeade Washi Pack (Z3198) Enamel & Glitter Duos Blue Dots (Z3122) Watercolor paints (Z3132) Spring Critters Stamp Set (C1638) Black Ink (Z2105) All supplies can be ordered here .

Watercolor Card-February 5

Image
The new water color paint, paper and brushes from Close to My Heart are AMAZING. I used them for the first time today and in the matter of minutes had the major parts of 3 cards done! Today's card I used a consultant only stamp set and the Penelope  paper pack to create this card to send to a customer. If you are looking for a new relationship with a craft project, I highly recommend the water color paints from Close to My Heart!

#TBT Dakota Card-February 4

Image
Throw Back Thursday is in full force today. I have created cards and layouts today that use retired product. One of my many crafty goals for this year is to use my stash! Today I used the retired paper pack Dakota paper pack and the  Catch You Later  stamp set. This is the perfect masculine card.

February 3 Joy Card

Image
The sun has been shining the past few days but snow is in the forecast. Before winter returns I wanted to create a fun springy card to send to a friend. I used a retired stamp, but the current Zoe  paper pack and some fun new embellishments, Enamel & Glitter Duos Blue Dots . The card is 4" X 4" as I bought some clearance square envelopes from Close to My Heart.  Have a fabulous Wednesday and I hope you have create and sent some cards this week!

Penelope and You're My Type Card-February 2nd

Image
I am having so much fun making a card every day. This morning I made this card for a good friend. I used the Penelope paper pack and the Share the Love  stamp set available in February only. I used all the papers (minus the chick's) in the Penelope paper pack and cut them all at different sizes. The yellow is just a small strip to give the card a little pop. I used a few old embellishments I had to give the card a little dimension.  Share the love this February by purchasing the exclusive My Acrylix® Share the Love D-size stamp set (CC1060). Filled with adorable icons and loveable sentiments, this stamp set will be a beautiful addition to your collection—but there is more to this stamp set than meets the eye! Not only will you be getting a high-quality, swoon-worthy stamp set by taking part in this promotion, but Close To My Heart will also donate $7 USD of the proceeds from this stamp set to Operation Smile™, an amazing organization that provides surgeries to repai

February 1-Quick Cards

Image
Today I needed two cards to use with gifts. I decided to make small 3" x 3" cards using the CTMH Paper Fundamentals Enchantment paper pack. I used embellishments from the Paper Fundamental collection along with the hostess only stamp set Mini Messages. The first card was delivered with a dinner to a fellow teacher who just had a baby. The second card will be used tomorrow to give a plant to our school counselor.
