Best Wishes Card

Image
The Georgie paper pack is so versatile. While it is perfect for all things baby, it has so many patterns that are great for any occasion. I made this card for a co-worker who is moving after the school year. She will be dearly missed and it is a great loss for the students and staff at our school. Happy Saturday!!!

April 29th Card

Image
Another Paper Fundamentals card. This one I created using cuts I already had on my table. I did not have much time this morning to create and being the end of the week I always move more slowly! The pink jar is from the CTMH Cricut Artistry  cartridge and I added some silver glitter paper.  I also used white shimmer trim to give the jar a pop.

#TBT Elemental Birthday Card

Image
Tonight's card is a little late today as I had a busy day at work and then when I got home I decided to work in the flower bed to prep for planting new flowers this weekend. Today's Throw Back Thursday card is the Elemental paper pack, Lagoon ink and twill ribbon. I am looking forward to Sunday and showing you the new Close To My Heart paper pack that is available for free in May!

Thank You Card

Image
This Thank You card is perfect for a co-worker and would be great for both a man or a woman. I used the Paper Fundamentals Enchantment paper along with White Daisy and Outdoor Denim card stock. The Thank You  is stamped from the Springtime Wishes stamp set. I also added a blue bubble from the Enamel & Glitter Duos Blue Dot embellishment pack.

Friendship Card

Image
Today was just a quick card as I am working both on creating for new product coming next month and my son's quilt!  I absolutely love the Paper Fundamentals from Close to My Heart. They are the same color as our card stock but they are embossed with a pattern and the back side has the pattern usually in white. The Peacock in the Paper Fundamentals Enchantment pack was perfect for the Life in Pictures  stamp set (April Stamp of the Month) and Poppy ink and a Red Enamel Gem .

Charlotte Drapery Card

Image
I have been wanting to create a drapery fold card for some weeks now. I finally had time to create one this morning after school drop-off. There are tutorials all over the internet but I had to play with the one's I found to get the right size. My card was 3 3/4" x 3 3 3/4". (I had to cut it down my card to fit after I folded!). My strip of paper from the Charlotte  paper packet 3" by 6". I then scored the paper at 3", 3 1/4", 4", 4 1/4" and 5", 5 1/4". I then marked 7/8" up the paper and cut at an angle from the first fold. I used the following CTMH supplies: Charlotte paper packet Black & Gold Ribbon Sequins Gold Assortment

Live the Life You've Dreamed

Image
Happy Sunday! I had the pleasure of spending this afternoon at a friend's baby shower. It was a fun time. Since I spent this morning finishing her gift I only had a few moments to make a card. This card I will be sending to my nephew who has one month left of his senior year in high school.  I used Cocoa Cardstock, Stripe Embossing folder and a Picture My Life card I had from the last Idea Book.

Smile Card

April is almost over so grab your fabulous Life in Pictures stamp set now! I used the following Close to My Heart products: Teal Glitter Paper Poppy Ink Black Ink Red Enamel Gems

Balloon Happy Birthday Card

Image
I had just a few minutes this morning to make a quick birthday card for a co-worker. I used the Cricut Artfully Sent  cartridge and the Georgie paper packet, I cut the card at 5" so it would fit in a regular size card envelope.

Teacher Appreciation Card-#TBT Dream Pop

Image
Thanking your child's teacher goes a long way to making their day! Even a simple card reminds the teacher during a stressful day that they are appreciated. To create this card for my son's teacher, I used the retired Dream Pop and the Teacher Appreciation  stamp set. I hand cut the owl using Cocoa ink.

Charlotte Card

Image
I have been trying to use all the features on my Cricut cartridges more. I used the Artfully Sent cartridge to create this envelope/card. I used the  Charlotte  paper packet and complements to create this fun card. I cut the card at 7" and used the complement sentiment on the inside. This card will be perfect for a birthday and other celebration and will also hold gift cards.

Happy Mother's Day

Image
Mother's Day does not have to be all roses! I used the  Georgie paper packet to create this card. I embossed the base of the card with the Quatrefoil Embossing folder and Canary cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Juniper ink. The sentiment is from the Happy To Be Friends stamp set.

Charlotte Shaker Card

Image
I have been wanting to make a shaker card for quite some time. I was out of the CTMH Flip Flaps  though. I finally remembered to add them to my order and created this card using the Charlotte paper packet and complements.  Shaker cards can be filled with anything, but I created another card using the Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge and used the cut outs to fill the flip flap. I plan on picking up some confetti to use next time.  I filled the flip flap and then used adhesive to adhere it to the card base. I put another piece of patterned paper over the flip flap in order to provide a background and cover the flip flap so you didn't see it from the inside of the card.  I created the circle using my circle cutter and after I cut the card base, I marked the card stock and patterned paper before I cut the circles the same size.

Teacher Appreciation Card

Image
Teacher Appreciation week is coming up the week of May 2nd and I want to have cards on hand for my son to give his teacher, music teacher and PE teacher. I used the retired Chalk It Up paper packet and the Teacher Appreciation  stamp set. I used the retired Lagoon ink and Cranberry ink for the apple heart.  Tomorrow I will show you how to make the every popular shaker cards.

You've Captured My Heart

Image
The Georgie paper packet, Poppy cardstock, ink and twine and the April Stamp of the Month, Life in Pictures , created the perfect card for my husband. This is a square card sized 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" and the gray patterned paper is cut 1/4" smaller.

Black & White Flower Card

Image
Today I had only a few minutes before work to create a card. Tonight is family night so no crafting for me! I created this cardstock only card using the Cricut Artistry cartridge to cut the flowers at 7". This was the Icon 1 "2" button. I added a small piece of poppy thick twine to give the card a little color.

#TBT Lollydoodle Friendship Card

Image
Today's Throwback Thursday card is from the retired Lollydoodle paper pack. I fussy cut the flowers from a piece of patterned paper from Lollydoodle. The pink jar is cut using the Cricut Artistry cartridge. I added some Whisper Thick Twine  on the top of the jar and some silver glitter paper paper for the heart.

Mother's Day Card

Image
Mother's Day is quickly approaching and not only do I need cards to send to our mom's, I need cards for the sisters, sister-in-law and friends! Who knew Georgie could be used for more than just baby cards and scrapbook layouts. This yellow patterned paper is perfect for these flowers from the January stamp of the month with some Sapphire ink was the perfect combination. I used second generation stamping on the flowers. Second generation stamping is where you stamp once on a scrap piece of paper and then stamp the bottom of the flower. I then used the second stamp and stamped the detail. The Happy Mother's Day sentiment is from the Happy To Be Friends stamp set.

3 Cards in 30 Minutes

Image
I love crafting! That is not a surprise to many of you. The reasons I love to craft are all personal. I love to send cards at random times to brighten people's day. I love to acknowledge special events in my family and friends lives. I find it very relaxing and need some of my own down time and this is how I get it each day. Finally, I remind myself if it is something I enjoy doing how can I not make the time. Anyone can find the time to make cards. They do not have to complicated. These there cards all have the same base pieces and I completed all 3 of them in 30 minutes.  The bases are made with a 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of cardstock that I embossed and then a 3" x 4 1/14" piece of patterned paper. I used the following supplies to embellish the cards: All supplies Close to My Heart: Regatta Paper pack  Sapphire Cardstock  Anchor My Way Stamps and Thin Cuts Regatta Complements   Sapphire Ink Black Ink Pomegranate Ink  Flaxen

40th Birthday Card

Image
One of my friend's is turning 40 on Wednesday. I thought a camera for our childhood was perfect! I used the April Stamp of the Month and Poppy Cardstock and Poppy Thick Twine . I had the "40" left over from when I cut out numbers from the Cricut  Artfully sent cartridge. Tomorrow I will show you how to make 3 very different cards in 45 minutes using one paper pack, corresponding complements and a few other embellishments!

Skylark Card

Image

Mini cards

Image
Mini cards are so easy to make and go perfect with goodies you give to co-workers, neighbors or friends. They also work as quick thank you notes. I created these 2 mini cards using the La Vie En Rose paper pack, Cricut Artistry cartridge, gold shimmer trim and treasured puffies.  I stamped the Hi  in Colonial White Ink. The sentiment is from the Happy To Be Friends stamp set.  The cards are 3" x 3" and each layer is cut 1/4" smaller.

Masculine Birthday Card

Image
The stamp of the month for April is by far one of the best stamps EVER! If you like cameras this stamp set is for you. The best part is it is only $5 with any $50 purchase. I used the stamp along with the Urban paper pack to create this masculine card. The Happy Birthday  sentiment is from the Finding the Words stamp set. The picture does not do the Peacock cardstock justice. It is so rich and vibrant.
