Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful

Image
I love the Rustic Home Fundamental paper pack. It pairs so nicely with so many different colors. Today I chose to pair it with Peacock . I used the Create Kindness- Beautiful stamp for the sentiment. This is a great card to send to anyone who needs a little encouragement or reminder how great they are.

#TBT Happy Thanksgiving Card

Image
It is hard to make a Happy Thanksgiving card while it is 80+ degrees out! However, I love the retired Pathfinding paper pack and the Fall Harvest stamp set. I used my ShinHan  markers to color and Goldrush ink for the two pumpkins.

Halloween Card

Image
This will probably be the last Halloween card. I need to start focusing on Christmas. However, I love using the top strips of the Close to My Heart patterned paper. They are perfect to create cards. I used the strips from the Jeepers  paper pack and then used the complements  to finish the card. Have a great Wednesday.

Boo Card!!!

Image
I realized this morning I have too many scraps on my craft table. And, I hate to throw anything away! That being said I had to find a good reason to use my scraps. I thought the small eyes of Jeepers along with the assortment were perfect for my scraps. The boo is from an old Halloween stamp set. I hope you have an amazing week!

Image
I have seen the twisted card all over Pintrest and Facebook. I found a great tutorial  that showed me easily and quickly how to make this Birthday card for my son's teacher. It was not as complicated as I thought even though after the fact I realized I not only didn't have the right size envelope, I am not sure how easy it will be for her to set up! I used the following Close to My Heart products: Florence paper pack (retired) Wise Guy Birthday Stamp Whisper  Thick Twine Poppy Ink Flaxen Ink Peacock Ink

Rose Card

Image
I am happy with how this card turned out this morning it is not what I envisioned! I wanted to play with the flowers on my Flower Market Cartridge . I had not played with the flowers yet and was not exactly sure how to put one together. I cut the rose at 4" and ended up with 5 layers. I used Sea Glass   cardstock and Peacock  that I put on using the watercolor brush.   This will be the perfect small card to tuck into a gift bag. Happy Sunday!

Thank You Card

Image
Today is a quilting and baking day thanks to the rain! However, my son needs one more thank you card to send out for his birthday. I used the retired Chalk It Up paper pack and complements to make this card. No matter how hard I tried the photo looks like the squares are crooked. I promise you they are not!

Thankful Card #TBT

Image
After camping this last weekend and seeing trees reflecting on the lake I knew I had to create a card reflecting what I saw. I love mirror and second generation stamping. I first used Crystal Blue ink and a sponge to sponge on water. I then mixed Fern and Saffron ink on the trees. To create the mirror image I stamped the tree than covered it with a piece of paper and stamped the top of the tree upside down in the water. I used the very top of the tree in the water. I also used the top of the tree to create bushes. The tree and sentiment is from the Always Grateful stamp set.

Celebration Christmas Card

Image
The  Oh Deer!  paper pack is an amazing winter paper pack from Close to My Heart. Coordinating it with the Woodland  Wishes thin cuts and stamps creates a fun and whimsical card. I used Sea Glass cardstock along with a retired red enamel dot for Rudolph's nose. When Sea Glass ink becomes available I may stamp the deer, but I am growing rather fond of them being plain! Have a great Wednesday.

Image
This morning I combined the Create Kindness- Hello stamp along with the Enchantment Fundamentals paper pack. The best aspect of the Close to My Heart paper packs is everything coordinates so even before the coffee kicks in I can create a great card without having to put a lot of thought into whether the colors coordinate. Off to get ready for the 1st day of school!
