365 Days of Cards

Today is a co-workers birthday and I wanted to make him a birthday card. The Magical  paper pack and retired Happy Birthday Calligraphy stamp paired perfectly together to make this quick birthday card. Happy Monday.

I have so much fun making a deconstructed cards. This 5 x 7" finished card was perfect to deconstruct. The cutting instructions are below.  I used the following Close to My Heart products: Magical Paper Pack White Daisy Carstock Crystal Blue Cardstock Wise Guys Birthday Stamp Black Ink Magical Sequins

The Magical Paper pack was perfect to pair with the August Stamp of the Month. I matted all the pieces of the paper to give it some pop! I used ShinHan markers to color the cat and some retired enamel stars. The August Stamp of the Month is available for only $5 with any $50 purchase:

The Magical paper pack from Close to My Heart is only available until the end of August. I love how versatile the paper pack is. I have used most of my 3 paper packs to scrap our Disney World vacation. However, the paper packs make great cards too. With the school year quickly approaching I need some small cards to keep at work for when I need a quick card. I made these two cards today using the Magical paper pack and Poppy  thick twine. The cards are 3" x 3".

I could not come up with a good title for this blog post. This card is perfect for so many different occasions! I love how it turned out. This is the perfect celebration or Independence Day card. I love making shaker cards and they really are not the hard with the right supplies. I used a White Daisy Spinner card and cut the spinning circle out of it so I had the perfect square. I then filled a flip flap with star cutouts and adhered it to the inside of the card. Today I used one of my favorite tools, the Edge Distresser , and the Magical paper pack. I also added a piece of Cranberry cardstock and white twine . The stamp set is retired, but any sentiment would look great in the speech bubble!
